Class news, for all classes and graduate programs, is published in two special editions of Hollins Class Letters magazine; in the spring and fall. Tell your classmates what’s going on in your life — interesting stories, travels, children, jobs, or anything you want to share. Photos of gatherings with classmates, special trips, etc. are welcomed.
How to Submit your News
- Contact your class reporter.
- Please include your full name and class year in the subject line of your email.
- You may submit your news directly to Hollins within the Online Alumnae/i Directory — select the “Class Notes Form.”
- If your class does not have a class reporter, send your news to classnews@hollins.edu.
For Weddings & Commitments
- Send classnews@hollins.edu the date of your wedding or commitment ceremony and include the full names and class years of alumnae/i participants.
Births & Adoptions
- Send classnews@hollins.edu the date of your child’s birth or adoption and full name. Please include your full name and class year and any information about another parent that you would like to share.
- Due to space limitations, we are typically unable to print baby photos.

Get-Togethers
- Photo submissions must be scanned at 300 dpi (high resolution), be sized no smaller than 4 x 6 inches, and be saved as a JPG or TIF file.
- Email to your class reporter or classnews@hollins.edu as an attachment; photos embedded within the body of an email may not be high resolution and may appear blurry in print. If you’re unsure how to email a high-resolution photo, follow these steps from Techwalla.
- Please identify everyone in the photo with their full name and class year as they appear in the photo from left to right.
In Memoriam Alumnae/i Obituaries
- To notify Hollins of the death of a classmate, please email classnews@hollins.edu a link to an obituary along with the full name and class year of the alumna/us.
- Hard copy information should be mailed to Alumnae Relations, Hollins University, Box 9629, Roanoke, VA 24020.
Submission Deadlines
You can submit news ANYTIME to your class reporter or directly to Hollins. We’ll save it for the following issue of the magazine where your class news appears.
