Jessi, who was born and raised in the Roanoke Valley, is a proud graduate of both Virginia Tech, where she earned her B.S. in psychology, and Hollins University, where she received her M.A. in teaching. Before joining the Hollins community, she spent 16 years teaching middle school science and developing a passion for mentoring and supporting students through key educational transitions.
Outside of work, Jessi enjoys reading a wide variety of books, spending time outdoors, and being with her daughters. She’s also an animal lover and shares her home with her dog and cats. Jessi is excited to walk alongside HOPE Scholars as they begin their college journey and find their place in the Hollins community.
